This policy explains how Brett McGarry Criminal Law collects, uses and protects personal information through mcgarrylaw.ca, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number and any details you include when you use the contact form, send an email or call.
Information collected automatically: technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and time spent on the site, collected through cookies and Google services connected to the site through Site Kit by Google.

Only Brett McGarry and the staff who need it to handle your request. We use service providers for website hosting, form handling, email and analytics. Some of these providers, such as Google, may store data outside Canada, where it may be accessible to local authorities under local law. Inquiries that do not lead to a retainer are kept only as long as needed to respond and to check for conflicts of interest, and are then deleted. Client files are kept for the period required by the Law Society of Ontario’s record-keeping rules.
