Cameron’s Case: Not Guilty of Attempted Murder & Arson

A house burned to the ground in the middle of the night. A young man was seen leaving the house shortly before the fire started. The next day, our client Cameron was charged with four counts of attempted murder and arson endangering life. Cameron faced a long penitentiary sentence.

The Crown obtained an expert report to explain the cause of the fire. The expert concluded that Cameron deliberately started the fire.

Under questioning by Brett McGarry, the prosecution’s expert admitted that his report contained serious flaws. The expert admitted under cross-examination that he “would no longer be prepared to submit his report to a jury.”

Cameron was found not guilty of all attempted murder and arson charges.
